Tuesdays seem to bring us a tiny bit of snow each week, and
it’s wonderful that the children can go out and play in it every day.
Just a reminder
about possible snow cancellations:
and set up an alert to avoid missing out on cancellations or
delays. Enter Pioneer Valley Montessori
School on the list, and you will get a text alert as soon as I advise them of a
delay or cancellation. Also, TV channels
40 and 22 carry the info (I’m having trouble with channel 3), and I also send
We do most of our communicating by email, but also mail items and, of course,
may need to contact you by telephone, especially for a sick or injured child. We find
that parents forget to tell us that they
have changed their telephone number or address. If yours has changed, please be
sure to let us know.
Each family should have received a new enrollment
contract, where you have the opportunity to let us know your plans for next
year. If you have not yet returned yours, please do so as quickly as possible
to help us in planning for next year. If
you can't find yours, please contact us and we will print a new one out for
For families interested in applying for financial aid for

-To Emma L.’s Mom, Debra, who has been willing to
take our collected non-perishables to the Food Pantry. Please let me know if you are willing to take
the food items once in a while.
-To the families who
donate to the food collection every Friday and save aluminum can tabs;
-To all who donated to the HUGS collection- the
Jefferson Ave shelter is always appreciative of our donations.
-To the anonymous donors of
10 chairs for the children’s house and for the toddler room classes. One parent started this by donating, and it
caught on to another parent and a grandparent! Thank you so much! We have beautiful wooden chairs in the
classroom, but they do not hold up at the joints with little people sitting
in them (and trying to turn them into rocking chairs!). The new chairs are shaped from mostly one
piece and are curvy and comfortable and don’t need the maintenance of the
older wooden chairs. And the toddler
ones have arms, so the very little ones don’t fall out while eating lunch!
-To all our
parents and families for all the little extra things you do to make PVMS the
wonderful school it is.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns about
anything, please call or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org)
