Get ready to celebrate! The 2024 Theme for the International Day of Peace is 'Cultivating a Culture of Peace'.

On this day, Montessori schools all around the world will engage in displays of peace. PVMS will be honoring the day with our annual Peace Day celebration during our school day.

The children have been working on Pinwheels for Peace, practicing songs and having purposeful discussions surrounding what “peace” looks like.

In the morning, the students will join together and share a special moment in our backyard, where they will place their pinwheels down and join in a song of peace!

  • Children’s House and Elementary students will be gearing up for their fall field trips within the upcoming weeks!

Look out for more information in your weekly teacher newsletter!

  • Our Community Dinner has been rescheduled!

While the event is adult-only, we are working on potentially providing childcare if there are enough families interested.

  • Since our establishment in 1964, Pioneer Valley Montessori School has undergone many visual changes - the progression from a one-classroom schoolhouse, to the sprawling 6 classroom establishment we have today being the most obvious transition.

Throughout the years, our logo has also evolved, from a simple geometric pattern to the distinguishable tree PVMS is recognizable by today!

Ahead of our 60th Anniversary, we tasked our Upper Elementary students to the challenge of designing the logo for this celebratory event! The submissions were impressive and well-thought-out. Ultimately, the logo chosen for our 60th Anniversary was one that incorporated many elements of the PVMS vision - including the iconic tree.

Thank you to our creative and imaginative students and their supportive teachers; Congratulations to Julia for your submission being selected!

  • We are looking for a few new staff members to substitute and would love your help filling that role!
